Arrested ‘Poachers’ fulfill three freezers with undomesticated animals’ corpses.

Approximately 150kg corpses of wild animals were shoved into 3 freezers confiscated in a specialized court of the police in Lâm Đồng Province.

September 10, Police in Lâm Đồng Province informed that on the night of September 9, the Lâm Đồng Province Environmental Police Department of Public Security arrested and statistics the number of slaughtered undomesticated animals corpses frozen in the house of Mr. Trịnh Ngọc Đồng (40 years old, lived at Nao Sẻ village, Gia Bắc town, Di Linh district, Lâm Đồng Province).

After a long time setting up the project, the afternoon of September 9, on 28 Route (the passage between Gung Ré town, Di Linh district),  the Lâm Đồng Province Environmental Police Department of Public Security cooperate with police of Di Linh town caught red-handed Mr. Trịnh Ngọc Đồng transporting a living pangolin, weights 3kg, stored in a net hidden in the trunk of a motorbike. 

Mr. Đồng confessed that the pangolin above was hunted by him a while ago, and is carrying home to kill for the liver and meat.

When emergency examining Mr. Đồng’s house, the function police additionally discovered that Mr. Đồng is immuring one iguana, twenty bamboo rats have a total weight of 20kg. 

Moreover, examining 3 freezers in Mr.Đồng’s house, discovered corpses of 59 frozen undomesticated animals including; hedgehogs, weasels, chevrotain, bamboo rats, and various families of serows with a total weight of 142,9 kg.

Mr. Đồng confessed that the amount of meat and wild animals above is bought from the poachers to resell for profits. 

The Lâm Đồng Province Environmental Police Department of Public Security made an arresting criminals document for Mr. Trịnh Ngọc Đồng, custody of the evidence and handed over the work for the Police of Di Linh town to continue investigating.
