In response to the spirit of World Conservation Day 28/07/2021, VIEWS AWARDS 2021 with the topic “TRACING THE BUSHMEAT SPECIALTIES” was officially announced. This year’s theme will focus on aspects of the “culture” of eating bush meat in Vietnam, as well as the origin behind the names of bushmeat labeled “specialties”. We are waiting for surprising articles sent by journalists, social media users, nature and environment lovers as well as those who are directly involved in wildlife conservation in Vietnam.
VIEWS Awards is an annual journalism award on environmental and development issues in Vietnam. VIEWS stands for Vietnam Information on Environment – Wildlife – Sustainability. The award is organized by CHANGE (Center of Hands-on Actions and Networking for Growth and Environment) and partners, to promote and honor individuals and groups with outstanding journalistic works on topics related to the environment, nature, climate, development. If you are a wildlife lover and want to express your views and personal views on this issue, do not hesitate to submit your articles to attend VIEW AWARDS 2021 for a chance to receive valuable prizes.

PRESS AWARDS
For journalistic works published on printed newspapers, online newspapers, video newspapers, radio and television stations:
▪️ 01 first prize: VND 20,000,000 with a gift worths VND 40,000,000 from the organizer
▪️ 01 second prize: 10,000,000 VND with a gift worths VND 30,000,000 from the organizer
▪️ 01 third prize: 5,000,000 VND with a gift worths VND 25,000,000 from the organizer
▪️ 03 consolation prizes: 2,000,000 VND with gifts worth VND 500,000 from the organizer
Note: The winning works may have the opportunity to be translated and published in international or regional newspapers.
SOCIAL MEDIA AWARDS
For works posted on social media:
▪️ 01 first prize: 5,000,000 VND with a gift worths VND 8,000,000 from the organizer
▪️ 01 second prize: 3,000,000 VND with a gift worths VND 8,000,000 from the organizer
▪️ 01 third prize: 2,000,000 VND with a gift worths VND 500,000 from the organizer
▪️ 03 consolation prizes: 1,000,000 VND with gifts worth VND 500,000 from the organizer
SUGGESTED TOPICS
▪️ Define “bushmeat”;
▪️ The “culture” of bushmeat consumption when traveling: Causes and reality;
▪️ Why is bushmeat considered a specialty?;
▪️ The damaging effects of eating bushmeat while traveling: Affecting human health; causing negative impacts on the ecosystem there;

ENTRY SUBMISSION FORMAT

▪️ Entries have been published on the media: print newspapers, television, online newspapers, radio stations, social networks;
▪️ There is no limit to the number of entries for each individual/organization during the contest. Note: if the entry participates in both categories, the organizers will only choose 1 work with the highest prize.
